What is TOPSoccer?

TOPSoccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer is a project of United States Youth Soccer to give kids with disabilities the opportunity to play in the same club programs as their non-disabled brothers and sisters. TOPSoccer is not a replacement for other sports organizations but rather another opportunity for kids to play this beautiful game. TOPSoccer welcomes all levels and types of disabilities; the purpose is to include everyone who wishes to play. TOPSoccer is open to all kids from ages 4 to 19 years old. TOPSoccer program can consist of everything from teaching individual skills and weekly training programs to weekly games and tournaments.

Will I play with other kids from my school?

By all means! This program thrives on players connecting with other players. Participation is only limited to who chooses to participate. If there are other kids that your child feels comfortable with we will do our best to match them up. Remember if there is limited space, players will be placed on a first come first served basis. So get your registration in by the deadline of April 1, 2007.

When does the season start?

Our season will start on April 14, 2007 with a fun Kick-off at Snohomish High School Stadium. Weekly sessions will continue with Saturday mornings and one weeknight evening season ends June 23rd.

What will I need to bring?

Each participant should bring with them shin guards and a water bottle. Everyone should dress ready to play wearing shorts, T-shirt and socks that cover the shin guards. You should wear non scuffing tennis shoes as we will be playing mostly on turf and court floors. No Cleats.

How much does it cost?

Registration fee is $25.00 per player. Uniforms are not required for TOPSoccer players but are available for an additional fee. Uniform package includes Red Club Jersey, Black Shorts, and Black Socks. Uniforms can be ordered on the first day of practice and take approximately 2 weeks to arrive. Cost for uniform package is $25.00 per player. Scholarships Available.

Who are the coaches?

All TOPS instructors are volunteers who are giving their time because they not only love the game of soccer but because they also believe that it is a game for everyone! Each coach has been cleared through the WSYSA risk management program. For the program to grow and thrive, these coaches also need your help by volunteering to be a coach, a mentor, or field volunteer.

How can I help?

Encourage and develop skills and sportsmanship at home and with the team. Learn the rules of the game and volunteer to share your talents to help your coach and local program. Remember your child will enjoy the game more if you learn it with them.
